You are getting it now, aren't you? We are definitely a one step at a time couple when it comes to this project!
Money does matter! And time too. My hubby is a carpenter, so his busyness is increasing. But then we are actually starting to eat better for the summer which is always good! And we are also trying to let the ground dry enough to plant a garden (more expense and time...).
So here is our first pen picture. No gate yet. The pullets enter through an opening he cut into the wall. They were thrilled to be out! We left them inside so they could adjust to that first, before we made and let them out into the pen. Oh! It's so fun to watch them romp, graze, and play. Not to mention their dust baths!
I still can't get over how fast they grow into looking like little hens.
Our Goal
To eat and provide healthier eggs that don't hurt our bodies like store bought eggs do. And better tasting eggs too! I also want to share my experiences and pass along what I find out along the way. I also pray insome way, that you are entertained or inspired, as well.
